Fair warning, I spent far too much time at the jelly fish tank. Those babies are mesmerizing. With no further ado, I give you the jellies!
What trip to Hong Kong would be complete without a visit to Ocean Park? I was beyond excited to jump on the most terrifying roller coasters I could get my hands on. Though to be perfectly honest, the most stomach turning ride we got on was the cable car.
I know, I know how lame could I be? But all the loops, dips, and dives last a second! The cable car is slow… and high… and windy!

Acrobatic interlude to calm the nerves.
I’ve no photos of the rides we got on, Kryz took care of that, I was busy psyching us up. We didn’t have a lot of time so we picked the scariest looking ones and ended up on the Hair Raiser and the Flash. These rides are not for the faint of heart. ;)
Then we chilled out a bit at the Aquarium.
Tower of fish!!! I was singing: “Just keep swimming” in my head the whole time.
Nemo!! Where are you??!

Feeling extra touristy, we took a spontaneous trip up Victoria Peak- the highest overlooking view of Hong Kong. After a taxi ride, a train ride, and a multitude of escalators we finally made it to the top. And it was freaking windy! Word to the wise: a dress is not the kind of outfit you want to plan on a trip to the Peak. Unless you want several Marilyn-esque close calls with a bunch of total strangers. Stand to close to the edge and this happens
But the view was well worth the chill.

We decided to spend the holidays out of town for a change in scenery, and found ourselves in Hong Kong. The brisk cold air coupled with trips to amusement parks gave the whole trip a distinctive feel of holiday cheer.
Every year since my oldest niece and nephew were born, we’ve documented our ever-growing family with an annual family portrait.
This year, we were lucky enough to have our portrait done in Victoria Park. Garbed in winter-esque attire and with the cityscape at our backs, we hurriedly smushed together and yelled: cheese!
For the benefit of those four cute kiddos you see above (and for me as well, the biggest kid in the bunch) we spent a day in Hong Kong Disneyland. Where Kryz and I ran around, going from ride to ride and acting like a bunch of lunatics. It was awesome. And at the end of it all, we found a good spot and watched the amazing fireworks show.
