Compressed 2 days of fun into a quick video to share with you all. Enjoy!

x,
Jack

We went beach bumming for my little sister’s birthday. Working on our tans (or getting sunburnt till it hurts) and getting sand up our butts.

and it was aweeeeesssssooooommmmmmeeeeeeeee!!!

Happy birthday dai, I love you!

I’ve been M.I.A. for a couple of days now. I’ve been neglecting this site and my photo projects (bad Jack!). But I’m back and eager to start the new year. Ready to move closer towards the goals I’ve set for myself, not resolutions – goals. I don’t know how thats different but to me a goal just seems more… accessible compared to a resolution.

I’m trying to make 2009 as happy as it can be. (insert dramatic oration here)

No longer will I sit quietly in the sidelines to my own life just waiting for my dreams to come true. Now is the time for action!

In the meantime, (while I’m getting my ass in gear) dear reader here’s a quick preview on what I am working on now.

Shot was taken with a SB800 at 1/2 power pointed at a shoot trough umbrella slightly left to the subject (ballerina’s can really jump!). 18 – 27mm (can’t really remember) – F3.5 – 1/20 – ISO100.

Would love some feedback on the treatment :)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE (and because I forgot to say it: Merry Christmas too!)

P.S.

See the real photos here

After months of waiting (ok maybe only weeks…) Poker Stars finally came to Cebu. Now I don’t play poker and I don’t really enjoy watching it being played either. But I was extremely excited because it brought 2 of my favorite people to Cebu with it!

They say they were here for work, but I know they were here for me ;) Haha!

On their first night I took them to Banri. Here’s a little back story:

I was telling Sabs that I noticed there were no “real” japanese restaurants in Manila. None that were in our price range at least. Of course she vehemently denied this. I asked her to name one and she replied simply:

Rai Rai Ken?

So I felt the to need to have her taste “real” japanese food…. the kind that didn’t come in disposable containers. And she wanted to have dessert at La Marea so I opted for Banri.

The meal was good, even if Sabs and I were both sniffling and Mikko ate most of it. I don’t have any proof of this because although there were 2 photographers and 2 bloggers present at that meal, none of us thought to bring a camera.

Afterwards, I took them back to my place and grabbed my cam so we would have something to remember the night with.

The photo’s aren’t great, but the memories were terrific :)

Showcasing my neighbor's tree

Sabs: Showcasing my neighbor's tree

We tried to get a photo of the view but damn that tree…

(editing to add this shot) here’s the view we were trying to get a photo of:

The view without the tree.

I took this after all our vanity shots heh heh :) EXIF: 62mm (cropped into a pano) – 20secs. – f/5.3 – ISO100

My brother and his friends were also at the house playing Rock Band and halfway through our photo session Mikko mysteriously disappeared…

Hmmm…

More photos at my multiply. For contacts only though (cause I’m shy that way wahaha). And more stories to come (as soon as I get the photos from Mix).

And the lesson to this story: Urchin is not a crustacean.

You had to be there…
