Feminine flair with a grungy twist. This collection is right up my alley. Girly but not too girly with a hint of the 90s. Shop this today at WAGW!
Special thanks to CMYK for letting us shoot in their cute location!

I recently did a shoot for Island Girl. We went on location to Cebu’s very own Tingko beach, Alcoy. It was my first time there and I gotta say, wow. White sand beaches just a few hours drive from the City, this is what makes Cebu great.
All the accessories are made from natural materials right here in Cebu and were absolutely gorgeous. Totally appeals to the “island girl” in me.
Here are some of my favorites from the shoot.

Kryz Uy’s Christmas Bokeh Portrait. Taken at Dahilayan.
Wow, it’s been awhile. Sorry for the long absence but I’m backkk and with so much to share.
First of, I was thinking of making a Christmas bokeh tutorial. I know, I know, it’s been done before. But it’s really just a pretty effect. And whenever I see photos like this (see above) I get all warm inside. So if this is something you’d like to see, hit me up in the comments and I’ll put something together.

Kryz and I took a spontaneous trip up Busay this weekend. With no destination in mind, we just drove on, enjoying the scenery. Until, we saw this. Tucked away behind a row of houses was this amazing view. Can you imagine getting up to that every morning? I was sans camera but luckily Kryz had hers with her so I was able to take this panorama to share with all y’all. ;) Click on the photo to get a larger view of the pano.
From there I contented myself to shooting with my camera phone. Here’s the glimpse I had of the scenery that made me immediately pull over. The gorgeous view aside, have you ever seen a more idyllic nipa hut?
This is the same photo with a little instagram-love. Oh yes, hefe.
We stayed until the sun was well below the horizon, just taking it all in.

Cebu is blessed with vast blue skies and big fluffy clouds at almost anytime of the year. Originally the idea was to use that as our background. But the more I looked at these crazy-sexy-high-as-heaven-killer heels the more I thought the look just didn’t fit. So I decided to go for a more dramatic, stormy, and mysterious feel.
The shoot was anything but dramatic. We spent most of the day laughing and telling stories while waiting for the best time to shoot. We had a blast behind the scenes which made me think- enjoying yourself while you work really makes all the difference. And bravo to our fantastic model who was brave enough to stand in 6″ heels, on top of a uneven wall, with a loooong drop behind her. She attracted quite a crowd of tourists by the end of the day! And of course, special thanks to Cleo, our human safety net.
