On December 23

… Gavin John Anthony was born. Waiting for the little guy to arrive wasn’t as tense compared to when we were waiting for Eva to be born. We knew, more or less, what to expect.

But the poor Mommy had to spend close to 20 hours in the labor room all by herself. :( Fortunately, when the time came, baby Gavin popped right out. My brother was allowed into the delivery room at 6:15PM and sent us this message at 6:45PM:

Baby is 7 lbs. 4 oz. 

All my mother could say was:

No picture?!

Well it’s been a couple of days and the photos have accumulated (for both babies) so here he is world wide web!

On December 17, 2008

…10:30AM: We rushed to the hospital in anticipation for the birth of little Eva.

1:00PM: The resident doctor told us to go wait in our room because it was going to be a while longer. 

5:00 PM: Return home, a little disappointed that the baby wasn’t coming until the next day.

7:00 PM: My brother called from the hospital to say my sister was at 10cm (that’s pregnancy speak for – holy expletive this is it!)

7:30 PM: Back at the hospital.

8:00 PM: Anxiously waiting.

8:30 PM: Waiting…

9:00PM: Still waiting…

9:30 PM: Starring into space…

9:45 PM: Receive the first MMS from the father in the labor room of baby Eva.

10:30 PM: Nurses come out to show us the little darling.

10:30 – 11:30 PM: Stare at the baby (and take pictures through the window in the nursery)

11:30 – 12:00 AM: Eat dinner.

12:30 AM: See the new mother for the first time that day.

1:00 AM: Go home. 

DECEMBER 18, 2008

Rushed to the hospital after work and stared at the baby till it was time to go.

And that’s all she wrote.

Welcome to the World!

I was suppose to update with Mikko and Sabs in Cebu part 2, but we were called away to the hospital and guess what?!

BABY EVA ISABELLE WAS BORN ON DECEMBER 17, 2008.

She’s 7 pounds and 1 ounce of adorableness and in the time we spent staring at her through the nursery ward’s window, she’s captured out hearts.

This is just a quick entry to say: Welcome to the world little one, we couldn’t be happier :)
