It’s been a long but fun day. :)

Woke up early to have breakfast with my  family. Then started setting up the living room for a movie marathon with my friends. Which didn’t really turn out like we planned cause the boys ended up watching romantic comedies while the girls sat outside to talk :p Then had dinner with my family and now I’m back home to tell you all about it.

Not thinking straight right now cause I’m really very tired (which would explain the very short story of my day above) but just wanted to say thank you for all the birthday greetings! for everyone’s love and friendship, I truly feel blessed :)

p.s.

I’ll be going MIA for awhile, work stuff. But I’ll be back next week with updated photos for 365! ;)

Less than an hour to go!

Dunno why this turned out to emo, I really am very happy right now :p

P.S.

Special happy birthday to Javier ;)

I’m preparing for my birthday tomorrow, making tuna and tomato pasta. Probably the only recipe I’ve ever “mastered” haha! And decided to tell you about yesterday while the sauce thickens (yes, that is an actual cooking term. impressed? ;) ).

The whole kitchen smells like tomatoes and garlic but I’m thinking of coffee and chocolate. Ventured out of my safe zone last night and instead of ordering my usual vanilla gelato I got this coffee/chocolate concoction.

It was a combination of my two great loves: sweet sweet chocolate with chunks of bitter coffee, soooo goood :0 This got me thinking about their other flavors I’ve always been hesitant to try: Italian lemoncito, chilli chocolate, chinese lychee and coconut! I will always love plain and yummy vanilla or sweet/bitter dark chocolate but I think I’m ready to expand my dessert repertoire.

To all dessert lovers: what’s your favorite flavor? Lemme know what you love and I’ll give it a shot ;)

I wasn’t able to post this yesterday :( But here’s 3/365 :)

The couple is from Hong Kong doing their prenup shoot at Plantation Bay. I was able to sneak a few shots. They were so absolutely sweet and romantic… putting me in the mood for V-day haha!

I received Christmas card from my friend Calai and the rest of the Clarino Clan.  This is the first card I’ve gotten since I was 8 haha! 2 months late (thank you Philippine Post Office) but still made me smile. Thank you :)

Inspiration is everywhere, you just need to keep your eyes open. Remember the world is an awesome place ;)

P.S.

Special thanks to Melissa for making my day.

Where was the moment we needed the most?

I am having one of those days when you feel like all your energy is focused on not breaking down into tears. I feel physically heavy and emotionally raw.

I’m listening to Daniel Powter for the nth time and I’ve convinced myself that this song was really written for me for moments just like this.  Sigh, emo-mode; why have my blue skies faded to gray?

So I am turning to that which makes me feel calm and sane – I’m picking up my camera and trying to find some beauty in this world. Cause nothing else makes sense right now.

And then I’m doing something not so calm and sane: starting another photo a day project. Hopefully this one works put better than the others.

Yes it is under-exposed. It’s meant to be. I’m having a bad day and the camera don’t lie.

Was working late last night when the power in our building went out. Having neither generator nor flashlight I decided to make the most of it and took some photos.

My new office is in this super gritty, urban backdrop. It’s the total opposite of what I used to see when I looked out my window:

But I’m kinda enjoying the contrast. It’s gonna make for some fun new photos :)

p.s.

Uhg. Lame title. Subject to change if I can think of something better.
